10 Minute Poetry: Man Wearing Girly Gloves

26 Jan

I wear a purple glove, and a pink
but a nail, I can still countersink

It was cold, my gloves were thin
My ski mitts were lost again

So I slip into feminine colors
And with confidence, my brothers

I peddled to Columbus school
in girly gloves, I looked damn cool

Did I feel inferior for this?
Ha! To worry would be remiss

Oh no, road salt clung to my blue pants
A stain? What a shitty circumstance

I bent and brushed at my leg, hard
What do I hear: nice gloves ya retard!
